1) Cuba Update

Just a quick update and some good news from Quest headquarters here in Minneapolis:
We're going to Cuba! After months of working behind the scenes, we managed to secure a
U.S. Treasury Department license - so now we're official. We're so relieved to be able
to follow Columbus's original route - from the Bahamas to Cuba - and to provide you
with a unique opportunity to learn about Cuba's rich culture and history. In just
twelve days we'll be getting on a plane for the Bahamas. We're getting pretty excited
around here and hope you are too. Next stop Nassau!

Diggin' it,
John

2) The Quest Teacher Community

The Quest Channel provides a variety of instructional tools for teachers to help them
get the most mileage out of the expedition. We have lessons correlated to state
standards that tie the Quests to your curriculum. We have a library of vocabulary
words and Web sites that help support the material from the field. And we always have
a community of Quest teachers on hand to help out!

Throughout the ColumbusQuest adventure, we encourage teachers to use the Quest Teacher
Email List to share Quest experiences. Discuss curriculum, management ideas,
assessment, and more. Teachers may also post useful information to the Teacher's
Discussion, located in the Teacher's Lounge.
