Craig Smith comments on 'WARNING ON LINKING GENES AND HUMAN BEHAVIOUR'
http://www.theschooldaily.com/articleView.asp?articlePK=16140
Just to point out an example of irresponsible journalism combined with a

pro-homosexual media: the first line of the article states: "Parents
should not be allowed to choose, or even know about the intelligence,
sexual orientation or personality traits of their future children." The
article itself goes on to make it clear that sexual orientation is a
behaviour one chooses; that is, homosexual behaviour is not genetically
determined.

SPELD NZ builds on its success in Teacher Education!
http://www.theschooldaily.com/articleView.asp?articlePK=16138
For many years the SPELD NZ Teacher Training Course has been a popular
and
effective professional development opportunity for qualified teachers,
RTLB's and teachers wishing to work as SPELD teachers. In this 75 hour
course they learned about the theories, identification and remediation
of
specific learning disabilities and differences. For over 20 years the
question was asked "But what about those who work in the field but are
not qualified teachers?" And, "What about parents who also need more
information so they can help and understand their child and its needs?"

company and the importance of a “can-do” attitude. The eighteen
finalists
have been chosen from 256 teams (158 schools) that entered this year.
The
