You're right, I was mistaken. Nuts. Let's go back to your email from earlier this week: > 2.When user press "Autostart now" button current implementation > trys to stop WinVNC service if it is runnung and then restart > WinWNC as app. Is it correct? Based on your report, I went back into Kaboodle and VNC and isolated the VNC bug. Here's the problem: 1. In the current version (0.99) everything works correctly if the VNC Server is *registered as a service*. That is, a VNC service is running on my PC; I start Kaboodle and set it up to autostart VNC on a different display; I click AutoStart, and WinVNC autostarts correctly, on the port I indicate. Perfect. 2. I go to Programs -> VNC -> VNC Server -> Unregister VNC Server service. Then I open Kaboodle and try to Autostart. I get the error "Failed to find the path of the WinVNC". Behavior #1 above is correct. Behavior #2 is the problem. It looks like Kaboodle can correctly detect when a VNC Server service is running if that service is registered, but it cannot correctly detect when that service is *not* running when it's *not* registered. Of course, the desired behavior of #2 is self-evident: if no VNC Server service is running, regardless of whether or not it is registered, Kaboodle should just start VNC as an app as it does in #1. -Scott ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by:Crypto Challenge is now open!
