[Kaboodle-user] Function of "kaboodle"

Hi all folks,

I just join this list and kaboodle is complete new to me.

I am looking for an application which can handle FILE and DATA TRANSFER between Windows and Linux

This story is as follow:

I am running "cygwin" on a Windows box which is connected to LTSP server. Linux is now running alongside of Windows. But they could not transfer files/data between them and I have to make use of Samba to serve this purpose.

Now my questions are:

1) Can I add "kaboodle" to the systems (Windows and LTSP server) for transferring files/data between them (stop Samba)?
2) Can "kaboodle" replace "cygwin" to run Linux alongside of Windows?
3) Can "kaboodle" run on Windows 98, ME,2K and XP?

Hoping that some folks on the list can shed me some light
