Hi,

I'd like to say that I think Kaboodle is great. I'm a sysadmin for a large
organisation and would like to link my work pc with my home network so I can do admin
work from home, or easily send files home to work on when I've nothing better to do
:-)

I find the graphical display very good, but would like the icons smaller - even my
home network (3 pc's and an ADSL modem/router) require me to scroll the screen. My
work network - well, we have over 1000 pc's.... need I say more :-(

>From the point of usability in a large organisation, could I make a few suggestions?
>Firstly, you actively scan for other computers with the 255.255.255.0 subnet, but
>that is not the subnet I use either at home or at work. Why not actively scan the
>actual subnet mask obtained from the network properties?

Secondly, Kaboodle frequently locks up for several seconds - I am hoping that is a
symptom of WinPcap showing as "inactive" (see separate email).

3rd: is there any way to specify how I would like computers sorted - ie by name, ip,
etc? With 200 pc's on my 255.255.255.0 subnet at work, it's difficult to find the pc I
want. Some sort or search functions would be excellent. I am only responsible for some
30 pc's - so I can create my own group & move those pc's into it once I've found them.

4th: It looks like my original idea of linking to my home network will fail because
our network admin has blocked all but port 80 on our firewall. Is there any way around
that "little problem"?

5th: Kaboodle has to be started manually after login - is there any way to set it up
as a service so it starts automatically on startup - that way I can connect to a pc
that's not logged in - or can log out a user so I can log in as an administrator.

There are other "managers" for vnc, but Kaboodle's extra functionality (vpn, etc) puts
them out of the race! Thanks for a wonderful (and free) product.

Trevor
