Peter:Hello! Can you ping PC2 from a command-console (aka, MSDOS prompt) on PC1? Also, Kaboodle only looks at one class-C address range. So if PC1 is a.b.c.10, Kaboodle will search the range a.b.c.1 thru a.b.c.254. What IP numbers are you using? -Scott On Sun, 11 Jan 2004, Peter Judd wrote: > Hello all, > > I am using a crossover cable to connect WinXP & Win98 PCs with Ethernet. > NetBeui installed for use with File & Printer Sharing to prevent Internet > users from access (dialup access only, no router protection) > > Now have added TCP/IP protocol on both PCs for Kaboodle trial. > File & Printer sharing still working. > > Kaboodle only sees the PC it is running on, not the second PC - says "One > device found" on Kaboodle start up. > Turned off both ZoneAlarm Firewalls on both PCs. > XP PC "Internet Connection Firewall" option turned off. > > Right click on found PC / VNC tab / "Let other Kaboodle users take control" > checkbox greyed out - both PCs > > Am trying to follow instructions at: http://www.kaboodle.org/help_faqs.html#A1 > Item "B4.
