Heya; you found the right email (though I'm CC'ing the

Yes, Kaboodle will "remember" a network device pretty
much forever. This is intentional: a lot of wireless LAN owners
want to know when something "sneaks" onto their network, and
it's not useful for them if Kaboodle deletes the device from
the UI once it goes away. So for them, you'll see old devices
with a dark appearence in the GUI.
To force Kaboodle to rebuild its network information
from scratch, just hold down the SHIFT key while it's starting up.
