Dear all,

I am glad to announce that there is a new AWT backend based
on Nano-X[1], and the support was already in cvs repository.
There are two API subset in Nano-X Window System: Win32-like
and Xlib-like API. Win32-like API in Nano-X Window System
limits graphics to a single process, which might not be a
problem since there's only one Java runtime running, and the
java system handles all threads above its level. So, I decided
to work on Xlib-like API based on progress of Sinby Corporatin
in 2001. After some hacking, the Nano-X AWT backend works for
me, and you can see its screenshots:

And cvs commit log is here:

However, the implementation is still very rough, but I think
it's interesting that Kaffe would provide a solution to the
embedded system development with Java powered graphics support.

cheers,
Jim Huang <jserv @ kaffe.org>
