Thanks for the kind words! But be aware that a lot of stuff does not fully work yet, there are bugs, etc. etc. etc. It's possible to build it, and it passes most regressin tests, but there is still a lot to be done. > Are there any prebuilt packages available since I do not have a win32 > "powered" machine and not really experienced in cross-compiling stuff > ;) Not from Kaffe.org. Let me elaborate: In general, I prefer to leave actual building and redistribution of binaries to people who know all the quirks of the system, since distributions (and packaging) is a non-trivial process. I participate in the Debian packaging efforts myself a little bit, and I know how much effort lies behind the smooth goodness of .deb packages alone, without even toucing on RPM, ebuilds, pkg-src, darwinports, Cygwin and other nice software distribution mechanisms. I'd suggest either asking for a package on the Cygwin mailing list, or, if you are looking into learning a bit about cross-compiling, grabbing the excellent crosstools tarball from Dan Kegel's web site, and using that to build your own Cygwin compiler. Of course, if you are looking for a real challenge: http://www.winehq.com/site/fun_projects lists making a windows build of Kaffe run on Linux using Wine :) cheers, dalibor topic _______________________________________________ kaffe mailing list kaffe@kaffe.org http://kaffe.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kaffe
