Sending this to kafka-dev since jira updates go to kafka-commits. I created this jira (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-74) that describes a small enhancement for kafka mirrors. It also contains a brief discussion on a config change and clearing up possible confusion between mirroring and replication. If anyone has any feedback or concerns, please do comment on the jira.
