As part of the commemoration of the 1400th Year of the Revelation of the
Holy Qur'an,
the Children of Islam Jalsah will be a gathering of 5000 children, parents,
and ustadhs/ustadhas/educators.
Within an atmosphere of unity and brotherhood, we promise to bring you an
interactive programme to remember with:
- Qari Zaheer Zardad as Tuan Guru - in an epic play on the first Qur'an
in South Africa handwritten on Robben Island;
- A play on Muslim inventions inspired by the Qur'an; and a skit on the
miraclous facts in the Qur'an
- A specially composed Qur'an 1400 theme song; Zain Bhikha and other
young artists;
- Gumboot power coupled with dhikr, and listen to the thundrous sounds
of TAKBIR and
- nasheeds and ... more.
*All children attending/participating will receive a specially
designed "Certificate of Honour" for this once-in-a-lifetime event.*
