March 2011 status report

Hello,
    It is time for the quarterly status report for Kato. I've copied & 
pasted our last report, you can see it here:

The report is to be ready for Wednesday March 9th, so please post here 
if there are any updates. Ordinarily there would already be activity on 
the mailing lists to report, but in this instance it would be useful to 
know if there are any expected developments.
