Core code is not handling .[is] files correctly for objects that are
not part of vmlinux. The new feature of generating .[is] files on
demand still has some rough edges. For the moment, do not use that
feature of kbuild 2.5.
ps. Thanks for the detailed bug report. Now I stand a chance of
finding the problem.
