Sure; I just ran a few tests for a complete compile on my machine, only
other activity was me typing on some gnome-terms. In all cases the diskcache
has been primed and hot.
For reproducing: what my test essentially does is:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] export LANG
make distclean
cp config.precious .config
find . -type f -exec cat \{\} >/dev/null \;
/usr/bin/time make
Results (vanilla and patched both ran twice)
