Hi,

I hope this is the right place with my suggestion:

When I upgrade to a newer kernel version, I use oldconfig as everybody
does. Then I get asked about the new stuff in the new kernel. Sometimes I
do not know what to answer then. Like here:

*
* Power management options (ACPI, APM)
*
Power Management support (PM) [Y/?] y
  Legacy Power Management API (PM_LEGACY) [Y/n/?] (NEW)

Then I am asking my self do I need this, or what? So I just try to
remember that config option, and after make oldconfig is finished have
look at the help text with menuconfig.
Wouldn't it be good to show the helptext inline the oldconfig like this:

*
* Power management options (ACPI, APM)
*
Power Management support (PM) [Y/?] y
---- helptext ----
CONFIG_PM_LEGACY:

Support for pm_register() and friends.

If unsure, say Y.
---- helptext ----
  Legacy Power Management API (PM_LEGACY) [Y/n/?] (NEW)

Has anybody thought about this? No good idea?
