You could try deleting the files by using a delete command from a dos prompt. That sometimes gets around locking problems with windows. Also, maybe restarting window in safe mode might help.
I use a program to search for spyware on my machine (free). You could try running that, after making sure your antivirus is up to date and scanning. If you download the spybot program, make sure you 'update' it and check for new definitions and such.
