1. I've gotten a lot of good info on topics in CF that I haven't thought about or had to work with, yet. That helps me stay interested in the tool set and growing. Also, I usually get a quicker response here from my questions than on the Macromedia forums.
2. I haven't been able to attend very many meetings. A few a year. I always enjoy them. I have learned some things in each one. Can't think of anything bad about them off hand. 3. No real suggestions but I do like to have info on the topics to be covered at the meetings and Ryan does a good job at this. Maybe (if there isn't already) there could be a list on the site of topics people would like to have covered at future meetings. Thank you to everyone who keeps the group running. It sounds like you have some opinions on the group saved up so maybe you'd have some good answers to these questions either for my own personal sake, or Ryan's, or whoever else might be interested. What benefits do you feel that you are getting from this group? How many meetings have you been able to attend and what'd you think of them? What was good/bad about them? Any other suggestions? I'm pretty sure that Ryan is open to whatever suggestions people can come up with that are valid and relatively easy to implement if anyone feels like sharing... I think he asked for opinions and that is what he got. Yours may not be the right one for him, or it may, but things in life (IN MY OPINION) are rarely always black or white. This is the most hateful group that I have belonged to. Some people in this group seem to think they are right all the time and that just isn't correct. Don't try to belittle others because they have a different opinion than you do. This isn't the first time this kind of a discussion has occurred on this board and I am not sure the benefits of belonging are outweighing all this negativity that gets generated. =================== Kansas City ColdFusion User Group's website & listserv is hosted through the generous support of Clickdoug.com To send email to the list, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] To subscribe or unsubscribe, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with your request.
