Agreed. I stopped using it after MX made you put in the key field into the CFUPDATE form fields. Plus I find it gives you more control in the manipulation of the variables when using SQL.

finicky and problematic.  You are better off setting a hidden field in the
form to indicate update versus insert and using that to determine which of 2
manual SQL statements to use on the action page.  Using cfupdate is just
