You should know also, that setting up the WIN2k ODBC datasource, then using CF administrator to set up the datasource and specifying “ODBC Socket” to map to the WIN2k ODBC datasource is not recommended by Macromedia in a production environment. I had several set up that way, and they eventually caused problems.

With CFMX you have to setup the datasource through the coldfusion administrator.

I created a datasource just like I always do in the ODBC manager of Win2k server but for some reason CFMX refuses to see the datasource. What could be causeing this?
