We use Mach-II
as our coldfusion development framework, and I was just curious, what
framework is everyone else here using?
I know people who
use fusebox 2 and 3, who have "rolled their own" framework, and those who don't
use any framework.
Just wondering what
you're using and why (if you don't mind)?
We are using
Mach-ii, because of the structure and elegance, and ease of maintainability, as
well as the support that we can receive from the overall community, should we
need help. MVC (Model View Controller) is a pattern that we are very happy
embracing. Also, as opposed to a homegrown framework, when we are hiring,
we can place some expectations toward the new hire to understand how code is
expected to be developed. Additionally, moving to a more object-oriented
like approach feels like an advancement, and has improved the way our code is
written.
No, I am not using
this as a recruiting tool, we are not hiring right now, and besides, I am in
Indianapolis.
If you are more
comfortable emailing me, rather than the list, I will keep track of the results
and let everyone know.
