I'm also using Archlinux and I'm also affected by this bug. For me this happens
when I copy files. As soon as I deselect "Application Status" in the "System
Tray Settings", which makes the spinning icon disappear, the CPU usage is much
lower. I am using plasma-framework 5.17.0-3.
