            Bug ID: 357116
Summary: Using a window rule to turn off compositing causes
flickering windows when compositing is turned back on
           Product: kwin
           Version: 5.5.1
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: anakin...@gmail.com

I am now using a window rule to turn off compositing when I launch CS GO. When
I exit CS GO, I see lot of flickering problems. For example, it happens to the
decorations around some windows (although not all the time).
It also just happened to the place where the yakuake window was (yakuake is
hidden), when I switch between windows, I see a black window flickering at the
same place as this window was.

Grabbing a fullscreen window title bar (like firefox) and then moving it around
causes huge flickering all over the screen.

I am on a laptop with an optimus setup, so everything runs on the intel card,
and the game on the nvidia card.

The only way I have found to fix the issue is to restart kwin.

Reproducible: Always
