On second thought, not sure anymore this is a good idea. If Ark would have done
so, this bug would not have been discovered and the shared-mime-info devs could
not have fixed it.
For now, I'm marking this as resolved upstream.

If you want, you can open a report on bugs.archlinux.org and ask to update the
shared-mime-info package with this commit:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xdg/shared-mime-info/commit/?id=10fc17ec61c5b5c6c0e6ea2c8d7a2123271d07e3

Otherwise, you will have to wait for the next shared-mime-info public release.
