STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect to a remote, which does not respond
OBSERVED RESULT
krdc freezes for a few seconds and its window becomes unresponsive (it even
says so in the title)

EXPECTED RESULT
krdc stays responsive and shows a spinner or logs or whatever about the current
state.
