Is your patch implemented in KDE by now ? Because I was not able to compile the environment until now (see Comment 48), I just installed Kubuntu 15.10 in a virtual machine with 'kubuntu-ppa/staging-plasma' activated. There they use the newest plasma version 5.5.3.
