Bug ID: 498000
Summary: Installed Fonts are not recognized by the Flatpak
installation of Krita
Classification: Applications
Product: krita
Version: 5.2.6
Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based)
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Tool/Text
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
I am operating on Linux Mint 22 (Ubuntu based) and running the Flatpak
installation of Krita. I keep running into a repeated issue with the text tool
where it is unable to read my installed fonts. I know it is not an issue with
the fonts because other programs like libreOffice (not Flatpak based) can read
the fonts fine. When testing the Appimage installation of Krita, it also reads
the fonts fine.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Krita through Flatpak
2. Open a new document and open the text tools
3. Click the dropdown to display the options for font selection
OBSERVED RESULT
The fonts that are displayed do not accurately represent the fonts installed on
the device, omitting a large majority of them.
EXPECTED RESULT
All fonts installed on the device should be displayed in krita.
