A photo of the resulting screen.
SUMMARY
When using the "Color accuracy" setting in Plasma's system settings set to
"Prefer color accuracy" on an RDNA4 GPU (RX 9070) the screen gets garbled. The
image on the monitor is not frozen and you can see windows moving under it. The
mouse cursor does not have the same garbling.
The system was running previously with an RDNA2 GPU (RX 6700 XT) and this did
not happen. It changed after i shut the system down, replaced the GPU and
turned it on again with no other configuration changes.
The monitor on the photo is 1440p@165Hz, connected with DP. The pattern did
change with different refresh rates.
I tested this with another monitor and it did happen there too.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Configure a monitor connected to an RDNA4 GPU to use the "Prefer color
accuracy" in Plasma system settings.
OBSERVED RESULT
Repeating garbled image. I also uploaded the photo if that is helpful.
EXPECTED RESULT
A normal, stable image.
