SUMMARY
after prolonged use, the application window displayed on the desktop will
become transparent and freeze, not responding to any events, and it becomes
like a ghost window. it happens on almost all windows (GNOME based apps too),
and it happens on X11 and Wayland, both being a bit rare to happen

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. leave a window for a long time (between twenty minutes and two hours)

OBSERVED RESULT
after closing or minimizing the window, it appears another one, with no
response, unable to interact with it and without an error message

EXPECTED RESULT
same as before

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
it's a bit rare to get the bug, but it will definitively appear in that range
of time. I'm also based in the bug #451825, wuch it seems to have a similar
problem
