SUMMARY
With an X11 session, putting my laptop to sleep, either by:
- closing the lid; or
- using the Sleep button in the main menu
and waking the laptop up again works, returning me to the lock screen.

However, in a Wayland session, using both techniques, the laptop doesn't wake
up to the lock screen. Instead, it does a completely fresh reboot.
