[email protected] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|REPORTED |NEEDSINFO CC| |[email protected] Resolution|--- |WAITINGFORINFO --- Comment #5 from [email protected] --- I am not a developer at KDE. I am attempting a KDE Bug Triage(https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Bug_triaging). I tried to replicate the bug but was not able to reproduce it using Dolphin 25.04.3. I tried to replicate the issue with three types of archives 1) Archive.zip file 2) Archive.tar.gz file 3) Archive.tar file The Archive contain a text file, a JPEG image, a PDF file, 3 LibreOffice files. The details are given below. 1) Launch dolphin and navigate to the directory ~/Download/testing where the archives are present. 2) In the Dolphin split the view using the function key F3 or by going to the menu View > Split. Select the directory in the second split section, or the right hand side split section as ~/Downloads/Bug 506774 3) Select and Copy the Archive.zip and Archive.tar.gz to the right hand side. A shortcut menu opens up, but without extract here or unpack . 4) Redo the step number 3. Please refer to the attached screenshot with the name, "Bug506774_ShowingCopyingTheSameArchiveAgain" Again a shortcut menu opens up, but without extract and unpack option. Select the Copy option. 5) A popup opens asking to confirm to overwrite the file, Select the option "Apply to all" and click on the Overwrite button. Please refer to the attached screenshot with the name "Bug506774_PopupWhenCopyingMultipleArchivesAgain" for more details. All the selected files are copied and the popup does not appear twice. 6) Now we try to extract a archive. 7) Select any archive, in the left hand side split screen. I had selected Archive.tar.gz file. And drag it to the right hand side split screen. Select the option, "Extract Here". Please refer to the screenshot with the name, "Bug506774_ExtractingArchiveIntoAnotherDirectory" for more details. There is no "Unpack" option from the menu. 8) The Archive gets extracted into a folder Archive. 9) Repeat step number 7 with the same file. A new directory Archive1 is created and original is not touched. Please refer to the screenshot, Bug506774_AfterExtractingTwice, for more details. @karol can you please update this bug with the following 1) What type of archive files are you using? 2) Please provide the screenshots of the error. On your keyboard there will be a printscreen button, you can use that. 3) How many archive files are you trying to copy? Or unpack/extract? 4) Are both the directories, the source and target, on the same machine? Are they mounted on local file systems/disk? Or are they network file systems? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
