If it doesn't restart, that means it didn't crash, it exited. So it sounds like this issue is in fact resolved, but unfortunately has been replaced with a worse one! Can I ask you to open a new bug report about it? I imagine plasmashell won't show up in the output of `coredumpctl --reverse`; if that's the case, please grab a journal log (`journalctl --follow --unit plasma-plasmashell.service`) that includes the time of the issue.
