            Bug ID: 513061
Summary: Plasma freezes after first login
    Classification: I don't know
           Product: kde
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
KDE was working great until the last 2 upgrades that I did in my system. The
first one was a problem with the `icu` library. Fixed that by keeping an older
version of the .so files for pacman (for whatever reason, it loaded them on
upgrades, so upgrades were broken)

The last upgrade that I did, after reboot and passed the SDDM login, plasma
freezes and the system becomes unresponsive. I even tried a fresh install, the
first time it boots without any issue and I can login just fine. Its the
subsequent logins what don't work.

I confirmed my suspicion by clearing everything that is a hidden directory from
the home directory of a temp user. Once cleared, I can see the KDE welcome
page, and I can use the system. Log out and in again, and the problem appears.

I thought the problem might be incompatibilities with Linux, AMD and wayland,
but I tried the latest GNOME in my system to discard this idea and the system
works fine.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In a temp user, login once to the system
2. Log out
3. Log in again

OBSERVED RESULT
KDE freezes

EXPECTED RESULT
KDE is functional
