# Problem
There's a known problem of "primary clipboard" aka "primary paste" aka
"middle-click paste" being an easter-egg. This situation was resulting in hot
flamewars when Wayland was conceived, where some users considered it an
obsolete feature, whereas others claiming it's an amazing workflow
simplifications.
I am not trying to take anyone's side here, instead I suggest an alternative
RFE, which would satisfy both parties as well as new users who are not aware of
this feature.
# Suggestion
Upon doing anything that triggers primary-paste protocol the very first time in
the system, a user will be presented with a popup explaining the feature and
asking if they want to turn it on or off.
None of the buttons "turn on" and "turn off" should be focused by default to
avoid a user accidentally dismissing the dialog.
P.S.: similar RFE for Gnome:
