The recording is "saved" but it's only a few bytes in size and the file cannot be opened. I don't know if this is relevant but the "GPU Screen Recorder" flatpak application works perfectly fine for screen recording on my system, I'm only facing an issue with spectacle. I think this started happening roughly about 2 months ago...
