The problem is that the aac codec, as visible in one of the screenshots of the rendering parameters ("ab=160k acodec=aac"), does NOT produce AAC, but ".WAV". The other screenshot of mediainfo showed clearly, that the data are NOT AAC, but actually PCM. Therefore it is insufficient to rename the files as proposed by you. 2. "Why AC3 and not AAC?" is another question; and I think I also answered that: the preset rendering settings do not offer AAC as audio. 3. (Answered as well) No, video was not turned off.
