SUMMARY
Since 6th or 7th of January 2026, no Addon updates are visible in Discover and
System Settings.
Correct/latest version seems to be installed when manually installing addons
(manually via System Settings > Get New...). However existing users are never
notified an update is available (it does not show up for them in Discover or
System Settings as an Update button). Thus users are unable to install critical
bug fixes to scripts/addons unless they first delete the old version, then
manually download the new version.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Discover
2. Click Plasma Addons
3. Click Window Manager Scripts
4. Click Remember Window Positions
5. Go back one step
6. Click Mouse Tiler
OBSERVED RESULT
4. Remember Window Positions Version shows 5.1.0
6. Mouse Tiler Version shows 1.2.0
EXPECTED RESULT
4. Remember Window Positions Version shows 5.2.0 (also had version 5.1.1
available since Jan 8th)
6. Mouse Tiler Version shows 2.0.0 (available since 2 days ago, also had
version 1.2.1 available since Jan 7th)
ACTUAL STEPS TO REPRODUCE (this is the way I found the issue)
1. Install an Addon
2. Wait for an update to release
3. (Expected) Get an update notification in Discover > Updates or get an Update
button in System Settings > Window Management > KWin Scritps > Get New... >
Remember Window Positions or Mouse Tiler

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Same issue happens for Cursors and Themes I've installed.
The issue has been reproduced by users of my KWin Scripts (most running
CachyOS).
Any old Addon updates prior to Jan 7th are still visible in Discover and users
see them in the Update list.
