--- Comment #54 from Iyán M. V. <[email protected]> --- For the last few days, I've been testing the solution that got merged on many different external screens, projectors, etc. and I'm very very happy with it. It just works! And the current state is much much better than what we had before. Having said this, I think a second round of improvements could be added in the future. I think a nice feature would be to allow users to choose what screen should be "optimized" for the mirror mode: the built-in screen or the external ones. This is useful for situations where the built-in screen has a native resolution of 16:10 or even 3:2. Most projectors and TVs are 16:9, so the current solution always produces vertical black lines on the sides. Another extreme situation is when the external screen or projector has some weird ultrawide resolution. In both situations it might be interesting for some users to prioritize the external screen(s) over the built-in one. For example, in my particular case having a 16:10 laptop, for presentations I would prefer to use the best possible resolution for the external screen/projector and have some horizontal black lines in my built-in screen, instead. What do you think? Thanks again Xaver Hugl for all the work you put into this new mirror mode! And, of course, all the other developers that review your code, etc., etc. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
