SUMMARY
Overview has a nice "Drag Down To Close" touch functionality. Desktop grid does
not, but the label "Drag Down To Close" still appears, and the thumbnail still
fades when dragged down.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go into Desktop Grid (Meta + G or pull down with three fingers)
2. Drag a windows downwards to another virtual desktops (I have 4 virtual
desktops in a 2x2 arrangment)
OBSERVED RESULT
Thumbnail fades and "Drag Down To Close" label appears
EXPECTED RESULT
Only thumbnail is moved, no additional effects.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The code reponsible for the dragging down label and dimming is in
"kwin/src/plugins/private/WindowHeapDelegate.qml". I couldn't figure out what
the correct way to fix this would be, how that part can know it is in the grid
effect. If someone wants to point me to how that QML module can find this out,
I'll be happy to open a MR for it, though you might be faster at implementing
that yourself.
