Here is my use case, in case it convinces Kai or anybody else: OT1H, I have automounting switched off. OTOH, I have an external drive that rather slowly spins up when plugged into an USB port. So without notifications it involves always some guessing and counting seconds until I am sure that I can access/mount that drive. So actually I'm more interested in a non-intrusive notification when new block volumes become available, without them being mounted. I might have missed that in KDE's configuration, if there is anything like that I'd aprecciate if you could point me there.
