Edit that new profile: Tab Mouse -> Sub-Tab Miscellaneous -> Uncheck "Disable drag & drop menu for files & URLs" 3. Switch to that new profile and drag a file onto the Konsole window Konsole crashes reproducibly even on brand new user accounts.
