It is not 100 percent satisfactory, but really minor. I was hit - as I wrote - by an update. Then, the problem existed. Using this same version, and removing everything and anything from "View" and re-inserting and re-arranging the items, I was able to get the timeline across the complete breadth, and I could also re-add the monitors afterwards.
