This time, only the taskbar corruption and screen flickering were present.
Widgets worked normally.
SUMMARY
KDE becomes unstable after powering on from "suspension/sleep" and after about
2 days of consistent usage while being logged in as a single user on Debian
with Wayland.
This can mostly be observed by text disappearing from desktop widgets, taskbar
and other components such as the "central notification panel" (used for volume,
brightness and keyboard changes in the Breeze theme). Some icons also
disappear, other times, the screen starts to flicker as well, but only when the
desktop is static (ie. displaying a static image in fullscreen mode).
I have:
- a single GPU
- proprietary Nvidia GPU drivers installed
- configured the system according to Debian's KDE with Wayland page
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log in to the system and stay logged in for about 1,5 days
2. Put the system to sleep
3. Power the system back on
OBSERVED RESULT
Strange behaviour of the desktop, such as flickering, text and icons
disappearing and overall unstability of the environment.
EXPECTED RESULT
