            Bug ID: 516186
Summary: Option to limit/disable output button flashing
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kate
      Version First 25.12.2
       Reported In:
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Currently the output button flashes green whenever there's an event of type
info, which some plugins, external tools etc. will produce. There's no way to
limit/disable the flashing.
I was told on discuss to open a bug for it.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable e.g. an external tool that runs automatically and produces info
output
2. Perform an action that triggers the tool

OBSERVED RESULT
The output button flashes green, depending on the tool/plugins potentially
repeatedly.
There's no option to turn it off.

EXPECTED RESULT
An option to turn the flashing off, or limit it to a certain severity.
Similar to how automatically switching to output can already be controlled.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Arch Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.23.0
Qt Version: 6.10.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I would also love an option to disable color for the diagnostics button, but
since that one's not flashing it's less of an issue for me, and it usually
contains actionable information, while severity info in output does not.
