Image depicts the wifi applet failing to open

SUMMARY
When an applet on the panel opens an app (so for example: the wifi applet opens
the wifi settings) that applet cannot be opened anymore. What I mean by this,
is that when I click on it, the little purple bar above it appears, the panel
(which is set to automatically hide) cannot lower, and the DE thinks the panel
is open, but it isn't. This is most problematic with the start menu, because
opening any app from it makes it not appear again until a restart.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open any applet
2. Open an app from said applet

OBSERVED RESULT
The applet fails to open

EXPECTED RESULT
Applet opens

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: EndeavourOS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.23.0
Qt Version: 6.10.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Using an NVIDIA gpu, so that could be causing irregular behaviour
