Purple band at bottom with blank page

SUMMARY
ADF scan with hpaio backend shows purple/magenta band at leading edge (HP Smart
Tank 530). airscan backend is OK.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. In Skanpage, select the hpaio device: "Hewlett-Packard
smart_tank_530_series" (network).
2. Set scan source to ADF, scan area e.g. A4.
3. Scan one page (or a blank sheet) from the ADF.

OBSERVED RESULT
A purple/magenta band appears at the leading edge of the scanned page (top or
bottom depending on feed direction).
The band is present even on a blank page. Flatbed scans with the same device
are fine.

EXPECTED RESULT
No color band at the edge.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora Linux 43 (KDE Plasma Desktop Edition)
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.23.0
Qt Version: 6.10.1
Relevant: Skanpage 25.12.2, sane-backends 1.4.0, hplip 3.25.8. Scanner: HP
Smart Tank 530 series (network). Two
SANE backends: hpaio (HPLIP) and airscan (eSCL). Issue only with hpaio + ADF.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Workaround: In Skanpage, choose the eSCL device ("eSCL HP Smart Tank 530 series
[A1F0B2]") instead of the hpaio device for ADF. No purple band with airscan.
The fix likely belongs in the hpaio (HPLIP) backend; reporting here for
visibility.
