An image showing the difference in the values shown in the widget and those
shown on youtube.
SUMMARY
When youtube autoplays the next video in a playlist, after the previous one
ends, the seekbar position is not reset to the beginning nor do the
elapsed/remaining time timestamps reset to the proper values, so it appears
that the video is finished already.
The seekbar remains operational, if you click on any random position it does
indeed skip the video to that timestamp and then the seekbar + timestamps
continue to work and progress as intended.
The video details (Thumbnail, title, duration) are properly updated.
Note: this only happens when youtube autoplays the next video in a playlist, if
another video is manually played everything works just fine.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Play a video in a youtube playlist on youtube open in firefox (tried the rpm
package)
2. Let the video end, wait for the next video in the playlist to be
automatically played.
OBSERVED RESULT
When the video finishes and the next video automatically plays, the video
information (Thumbnail, title, duration) is properly updated in the media
player widget but the position of the seekbar is not reset to the beginning, it
stays at the end, and the remaining time timestamp remains at -00:00 and does
not reset to -(video duration), the elapsed time timestamp shows the entire
video duration, as if the video is over when it has just begun.
EXPECTED RESULT
The scrollbar position should be reset to the beginning, remaining time to
-(video duration) and the elapsed time to 00:00 (if the next video starts
playing from the beginning, that is.)
