This is kind of a feature request. Even though digiKam just recent became able
to manage video and audio files as well as photos, perhaps it would be nice to
have a "feature" to not scan for video and audio files but only scan for
photos. Besides, digiKam is still marketed as:
Manage your photographs like a professional, with the power of open source
Its not 'manage your media like a professional.'
