Bug ID: 517036
Summary: [Show Quick Commands] does not save quick commands
IMMEDIATELY when [Save] is pressed.
Classification: Applications
Product: konsole
Version First 25.12.2
Reported In:
Platform: NixOS
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: plugins
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
I just lost ~7 quick commands because I can [sudo reboot] without closing
Konsole.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open [Show Quick Commands] (possibly with [Ctrl]+[Shift]+[F1]).
2. Press [Add], set a [Title] and [Command].
3. Press [Save].
4. Do not exit Konsole normally; kill Konsole 1 of these 4 ways:
4a. Run [sudo reboot].
4b. Run [killall .konsole-wrappe].
4c. [System Monitor⇾Applications⇾Konsole⇾Right-Click⇾Send Signal⇾Kill
(KILL)⇾Force Quite Application].
4d. [[Ctrl]+[Meta]+[Esc]⇾Click on Konsole]
OBSERVED RESULT
When Konsole is reopened, the quick commands “saved” since the last time
Konsole was properly exited are all gone.
EXPECTED RESULT
When Konsole is reopened, all the saved quick commands should still exist.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Konsole Version 25.12.2
Operating System: NixOS 26.05
KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.23.0
Qt Version: 6.10.2
Kernel Version: 6.19.5 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Possibly related to [ https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458139 ], but I have
not noticed any quick commands disappearing when Konsole is exited normally.
Each of the 4 killing methods has reliably reproduced the bug every time I
tried to reproduce the bug. I have not tried reproducing the bug with more than
1 Konsole window simultaneously open.
