Bug ID: 517055
Summary: Volume OSD appears when adjusting volume of non-active
device
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First 6.6.1
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Audio Volume widget
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
SUMMARY
If you adjust the volume of a non-active audio device, the OSD appears anyway
but shows the volume for the active device. Since the volume of non-active
devices can only be adjusted with the plasmoid pop-up open, it is a bit
redundant to show the OSD. While typing this I realised that the bug could
indeed be that the OSD is shown when the pop-up is open which is redundant, but
I am not sure whether this is intended behaviour.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the volume plasmoid by clicking on it, while you have at least two
audio output devices connected
2. Adjust the volume of a non-active device
OBSERVED RESULT
The OSD appears.
EXPECTED RESULT
The OSD does not appear.
