I can see now that when creating a template there is check-box for "Merge template". However, this doesn't seem to make any difference. I have an item to which I have applied location details, and would now like to add the Creator using a template. I have checked the boxes for both the relevant templates for Creator and Location, but when I try to add the Creator it clears all the location details. Is that how it should work, or is there something else I need to do? I have looked at the Documentation but it doesn't appear to have been updated yet. When I look at the list of Notable Bug Fixes for 9.0.0, this one (513321) is not listed. Are you still working on it? This is only trying to update one item. The bigger problem is still adding the Creator to multiple items with different locations. I don't see how this option to merge templates would work there.
